DENOUEMENT: A French word meaning "unknotting" or "unwinding," denouement refers to the outcome or result of a complex or difficult situation or sequence of events, an aftermath or resolution that usually occurs or takes place near the final stages of the plot. It is the unraveling or straightening out of the main dramatic complications in a novel, play, or other work of literature.
From your assigned Class Novel # 4, find a good and clear example that would best represent this Literary Term. Since this is a first-come-first-serve exercise, PLEASE read what has been posted first by others before posting your own response to this. NO REPETITION of examples is allowed! This literary term happened when Glinda told Dorothy that she could go home by simply just clapping her shoes' heels three times. So Dorothy finally got back to Kansas after she did what Glinda told her to do.

ReplyDeleteWhen Tin woodman rescued Queen Mouse by killing wildcat, Queen Mice wanted to thank him. Consequently, Scarecrow desired this particular mouse to aid the Cowardly lion which got poisonous and fell asleep in the poppy field. Queen mouse thus called several mice to congregate and assisted the Lion by using the string and trucks. Eventually, The Queen mice could grateful to Tin woodman for helping it from the wildcat.
This is the clear example of this specific literary term, denouement.
When Dorothy finished drinking and bathing in the spring in the forest. she discover the tin woodman, who needs Dorothy's help. he told her to get the oil can in his cottage to oil his joints so that he can move again from the rusted joints after a year. Then Dorothy do as he said and tin woodman is able to move again just like before.

ReplyDeleteWhen Dorothy killed the wicked witch of the West by a cup of water.
When Dorothy would like The Wizard of Oz to make her wish come true, but Oz wanted to let her accomplish his task by killing The Wicked Witch. Therefore, she and her friends must destroy The Witch. All of their own wishes came true when they had killed the Witch.

In the very beginning of the story where Dorothy and her house got blown by cyclone to the land of the east and accidentally killed the wicked witch of the east without her doing anything and it's like an ending of all the troubled for the Munchkins that live in the east.

After Dorothy killed the Wicked Witch of the West they need to go back to the Land of Oz to find the Wizard of OZ, but they don't know how to go back, so they ask the Queen of Mouse to help them. After the Queen of mouse arrive, she told Dorothy that the hat on her head can take her back to the Land of Oz, she just need to say out the magic words. Dorothy found the magic words in the inner part of the hat and do as what the Queen of Mouse said and the monkey appeared to bring them all to Land of Oz.

ReplyDeleteWhen dorothy land on the land of oz, and want to go back to kansas, but the munchkins cant do anything to help her so munchkins tell her to cross the desert to go to the land of oz. The witch of north tell dorothy that she should go to emerald city to the wizard of oz, and ask the wizard for help so that dorothy can go back

when Dorothy and Scarecrow met Tin Woodman, the difficult situation is Tin Woodman become rusty, after Dorothy added the oil and Tin Woddman was completely restored. the result is Tin Woodman join them and be their partner of travel
ReplyDeleteThis happened when the lion said he was a coward that he is frightened to face danger or fear but then when they are going to cross the river, the lion was able to leap across the river with the his friends at his back. And that shows his courage

When the Tin Woodman become the King of the West, the Scarecrow become the King of the Emerald City, the Lion become the King of the Beasts, and when Dorothy went home safely.

ReplyDeleteWhen Dorothy met Scarcecrow, she helped him took away the pole. Then, Scarcecrow ask if he can go with Dorothy to Emerald City and get some brains from the great OZ. So, Scarcecrow go with Dorothy to the Emerald City...
